BOOK-VOYAGE
“Book Voyage” started as an idea for a travel company based around visiting the real life locations that are associated with fictional settings in books. I wanted to create a muted brand that combined the ideas of reading, travel, and adding a dark academia flare.
While there were many iterations of the logo, I eventually settled for imagery that shows a world globe atop of an open book. I wanted the pictogram to successfully stand alone, as well as with the wordmark. The font I used for the wordmark was altered to help better convey the idea of fantasy style vacations. Lasty, for the colors I wanted to do more muted and antique tones to tie in the idea of hardbound books.
The additional collateral created for this project consisted with a letterhead, business card, and custom envelope, as well as postcards to corollate with each trip.
The largest portion of the project was the layout and creation of the business website. While this was one of the first real websites I designed, I felt like it took a bit to really get it to a spot I liked. Please feel free to interact below.
